KINGDOM IMPACT
“OUR HOME IS YOUR HOME”
“We are a church that believes in Jesus Christ. Where God matters; people matters and eternity matters.
KINGDOM IMPACT
Is a vibrant Spirit-filled church community designed to connect people to Jesus and to each other through authentic relationships. Through a dynamic combination of worship word and fellowship, we seek to Impact and Affect lives by equipping the whole person with sound biblical and spiritual truths and practical encouragement.
? BELIEFS
We believe that there is only one and true living God, who is the source and sustainer of all things. He has revealed Himself to us in a three fold manner as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
HOLY SCRIPTURE
We believe that the Scriptures, both Old & New Testaments, are the inspired word of God. Free from all error and complete in their revelation, the Scriptures serve as the final authority for the Christian Life and Faith.
MARRIAGE
We believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, as ordained by God in Holy Scripture. We further believe that marriage is the foundation of all society and as such it is a holy and honorable estate that is not to be severed or adulterated. We also believe that, marriage serves as the visible symbol of the union that exists between Jesus and his church.
THE KINGDOM
We believe that the Kingdom of God is the rule of God in the heaven and the earth. The Kingdom’s rule begins in the human heart and continues out into every area of life. The church has been called out by God to give expression to the reality of the Kingdom’s presence here on the earth.
THE END
We believe that the end of the age will be marked by the visible and bodily return of the Lord Jesus. At which time the judgement of all humanity will take place, with the righteous being ushered into eternal life and the unrighteous into eternal death.
EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS!
GO DEEPER
The central objectives of our church is to assist everyone in fostering a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. At the end of the day it will not be about the number of programs we ran, or the amount of money we amassed or the popularity of our events; instead we will be judged on whether we were able to “present everyone perfect in Christ Jesus” (Col.1:28).
From the decision to make Jesus Christ your Lord on to the various paths of spiritual growth, through membership within the local church, faith, prayer, worship, understanding of the word and giving, going deeper with God is the crowning achievement of every believer.
We invite you to take a moment and hear the voice of the Master calling you, even as “Deep calleth unto deep” (Psalm. 42:7).
Making Jesus Personal:
In order to make Jesus personal, you have to make a choice to accept him as your Lord and Savior. This involves the following:
Understand that Jesus can save you from sin:
Because we are all born sinful, we are unable by our own strength and morality-to please a perfect God. However, God sent His Son Jesus as your representative and as your ransom from being captive.
Admit that you have sinned:
This is the prerequisite to accepting Christ. Understand that all have sinned and you need to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness by repenting of your sins. From the text in Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Profess Jesus as your Savior:
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Say, “Father in Heaven, I believe that Jesus died for my sins.” And God will impart eternal life to your spirit.
Path to Spiritual Growth:
The path to spiritual growth requires becoming engaged in the practice of the following:
● Increasing in your knowledge and understanding of God’s Word:
1 Peter 2:2
● Increasing in your practice of Christ-like qualities which include;
walking in the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, praying always
● Increasing in your faith and trust in God
● Increasing in your understanding and practice of Worship
● Decreasing in your frequency and severity of sin.
Everything created by God is designed to grow. Spiritual Growth is becoming more like Jesus Christ. Spiritual Growth is basic to the life of a believer, just as physical growth is to the life of any person. To truly experience spiritual growth we should completely desire to worship Jesus, making him the center of our lives, allow the Holy Spirit to do the work as He pleases, placing our focus on studying the Word and prayer.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world o condemn the world, but to save the world through him”. St. John 3:16-17 (NIV).
THE WAY WE WORSHIP
Introduction:
True biblical worship is to be the first and foremost reverence. (Hebrews 12:28). This means that it is to be done with the understanding of who is being worshipped. God is holy, just, righteous, perfect and loving. Those who wish to worship biblically must worship God as He is revealed in the Scripture. (St. John 4:23). The Greek word for Worship is “prokeneou” meaning “to pay homage” (1Corinthians 14:25) Join us as we pay homage to our Lord and Savior!
Biblical Expression of Worship:
We pray together aloud because in the Bible we read, “they lifted up their voice unto God with one accord (Acts 4:24).
We lift our hands in praise because in the Bible we read, “Lift up your hands I the sanctuary, and bless the Lord” (Psalm 134:2).
We sing with all our hearts because in the Bible we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, al the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praises” (Psalm 98:4).
We play musical instruments because in the Bible we read, “And all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner or instruments”(2 Samuel 6:5).
We clap our hands and shout unto God because in the Bible we read, “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of Triumph”(Psalm 47:1).
We dance before the Lord because in the Bible we read,”Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and organs ”(Psalm 150:4).
We testify publicly because in the Bible we read,“I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the congregation will I praise thee ”(Psalm 22:22).
We anoint with oil for divine healing because in the Bible we read, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the
church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord”(James 5:14).
DO YOU KNOW YOUR ABC’S?
Accept Jesus Christ into your heart
Believe that Jesus died for your sins
Confess with your mouth that He is Lord
Understanding Salvation
Definition:
Salvation comes from the Greek word “soteria”, which means “deliverance, preservation and/or safety.” It primarily involves deliverance from bondage of sin (wrong –doing (Romans 9:20-23, Galatians 5:1) Salvation also includes deliverance from enemies (Luke 1:71), sickness and disease (St. Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24.
Salvation is a gift that is made available to those who repent, believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and that He died and rose from the dead to save mankind. (Acts 16:31), Romans 10:9-10). This gift cannot be earned through good deeds or by simply being a “good person” (Ephesians 2:8). It is a matter of faith (acting out on what you believe according to God’s word concerning salvation).
Steps to Attaining a Relationship with God & Be on the Path of Salvation
The following steps will help you obtain and maintain a Christ based relationship.
- Hear
The Bible teaches that “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”. (Romans 10:17). One is not a Christian because his/her parents are. Faith cannot be inherited (Ezekiel 1:20). Each person must believe in Jesus Christ themselves.
- Believe
One must believe that Jesus is the Christ (Anointed One), the Son of the living God (St. Matthew 16:16). One comes to believe in Jesus Christ when he hears the Gospel taught. Faith comes only by hearing of the Word. This is the reason we at Kingdom Impact Centre believe in teaching the entire gospel without exception.
- Repent
One must repent of his sins in order to be saved (Acts 17:30-31). When one repents he turns away from his sins (1 Thessalonians 1:9). Repentance does not mean just “sorry”/ It is a quality decision to ask forgiveness of our sins, turning away from ungodly living and submitting to God’s will for our lives (1John 1:9).
- Confess
Jesus said that we must be willing to confess Him before men if we want Him to confess us before the Father (St. Matthew 10:32-33). A confession is as easy as saying: “I believe that Jesus is the Son of God” (Acts 8:35-38).
- Be Baptized
One must be baptized, immersed in water; a public display of the faith and commitment about to be made within our lives. Please note: baptism follows belief and repentance (Acts 2:38, St. Matthew 28:18-19).
